St. Jérôme Church of England Bilingual School is very pleased to announce that it has secured a long-term research partnership with the Cambridge University Bilingual Network, to further develop academic research in the area of bilingual education and to make sure that we are always offering the very best to our children at St. Jérôme School. The first piece of research has now been launched and the survey below is open to anyone with a pre-school child who is interested in the bilingual approach for their child.
By completing the survey parents will be contributing to ongoing research into bilingual education. All data will be analysed by researchers at Cambridge University and all individual survey responses will remain confidential. The survey will take about 15 minutes. Thank you for your help.
Parents can access the survey at http://cambridge.eu.qualtrics.com//SE/?SID=SV_55yq0L8lM3mi9ORRead More
St Jerome School will be a centre of excellence for the teaching of French at primary schools and we will have a fantastic new learning resource centre to support this service. We will be working with Eurostar to create an interactive learning experience. Younger children will be able to role play a variety of travel scenarios through their very own Eurostar experience. Older children will have opportunities to extend their learning in science, technology and maths as they solve engineering and maintenance challenges the Eurostar way, in English and French. Children at St Jerome School will have regular access to this unique facility and it will also be available for use by children from other local schools.Read More
