Monthly Archives: March 2021
Since the start of 2021 Harrow Council has been offering asymptomatic Covid testing. This service operates across five test centres in the borough and at the peak of the last wave was helping to identify about 200 people each week who were asymptomatic carriers of the virus.
The strategy has been to encourage those most at risk of contracting and spreading Covid to test regularly. Primarily that’s meant anyone who is unable to work from home.
The advice from Carole Furlong, Director of Public Health Harrow Council, is that if one member of a household goes out to work or leaves the house every day for another reason, not only should they test twice a week, but everyone they live with should also test this frequently. This is because other members of the household are exposed to the same level of risk.
We sent out a letter about this on Monday, do check your emails.Read More
