Our School Council

We are delighted to present our School Council (SC), voted in by each class. Term of office is until the end of the year.

In preparation for our playground project, SC were asked to speak to children in their class to find out ‘what children like about playtime, what they would like to improve’. They will then report back to the SC at next Wednesday’s meeting.

At all school worship – each member of the SC will introduce themselves to the rest of the school. The SC then helped to make flapjacks, which Mrs Tyler will take along to the Firm Foundation’s shelter tonight. You can find out more about the work of Firm Foundation here

On 8 February 2019 our school council enjoyed the opportunity to meet Mr Gareth Thomas MP when he visited our school. He was interested to find out how the school council represent the views of their class and how the children are learning about democracy. The children were excited to meet a member of parliament and were invited to visit the Houses of Parliament to see where Mr Thomas represents the people of Harrow West and learn about how national decisions are made.
