As part of our Christmas Activities Day on Thursday 12th December the children will be participating in a sponsored Christmas mile.

This initiative is designed to encourage children to see the benefits of taking fifteen minutes to run or jog, at their own pace, with their classmates, making them fitter, healthier, and consequently more-able to concentrate in the classroom. Whilst improving their own well-being the children will be able to raise money to support less fortunate children and our school.

Each child will receive a sponsorship form to raise money. If you can’t find the form, don’t worry we have added it to our Newsletters and Letters Home Page of our website here https://www.stjeromebilingual.org/our-newsletters/  The children will participate in year groups and be fully supervised by school staff. The children will be encouraged to run/walk or just stay moving for 15 minutes. Sponsorship money can be given to the school office. If this can be done by the last day of term,  Wednesday 18th December, that would be very much appreciated. Any cheques should be made payable to:- St. Jérôme Church of England Bilingual School.

Money raised from this initiative will be divided between Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and towards funding for additional sports equipment at St. Jérôme. Details of the money raised will be given in an edition of  The Quill during Epiphany Term.

We know the children will enjoy participating in this event whilst raising awareness of the needs of others, especially at Christmastime. Please support them in whatever way you can.

In the event of inclement weather alternative arrangements will be made.
