SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools)
As a Church of England free school in the Diocese of London, Saint Jérôme is inspected under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 through SIAMS. We are a single academy trust, supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), and our governors share one Christian vision for the trust and the school.
The inspection looks at how this theologically rooted vision shapes everything we do, and whether we are living up to our foundation as a church school.
The inspector explores questions such as:
- How does our Christian vision enable pupils and adults to flourish?
- How does our curriculum reflect our Christian vision?
- How is collective worship enabling pupils and adults to flourish spiritually?
- How does our vision create a culture in which pupils and adults are treated well?
- How does our vision create an active culture of justice and responsibility?
- Is our religious education effective?
SIAMS does not judge schools against a fixed template. It takes account of each school’s own context and focuses on impact: the difference our vision makes to the lives of our pupils, staff and families.

Like all state-funded schools in England, Saint Jérôme is inspected by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education.
Our most recent inspection took place on 23–24 November 2022. Ofsted judged the school Good in every area: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years. This showed the progress the school had made since its first inspection in March 2019. The full report is below.
Since November 2025, Ofsted has published a report card for each school instead of a single overall grade. Each area is graded separately, including inclusion; curriculum and teaching; achievement; attendance and behaviour; personal development and well-being; and leadership and governance. Safeguarding is reported separately. Our next inspection will follow this format.
