News from Year 6

Year 6 are studying Britain at War and recently visited the Imperial War Museum.

“On the day of our trip, we travelled to the museum by tube on the Bakerloo line from Harrow & Wealdstone to Lambeth North. It was an extremely lengthy journey. After we got off the tube, we strolled to our destination. The second we entered the museum, we got to explore all over the place. There were hundreds of artefacts. We saw tanks, fighter jets, paintings, letters from the war and so many more.
We had a sheet to fill in while analysing the artefacts; the sheet was like a scavenger hunt. After a little bit of exploring, we got to have our lunch (it was yummy). After lunch, we got to explore more.
The time we had after lunch gave us more opportunity to note down our opinions. A lot of people in our year would’ve liked to have more time looking around.
Overall, it was a fascinating experience and an amazing chance to learn more about our topic (Britain At War). I would love to go there again.
